چکیده

The increasing demand on the production of ankle-foot orthosis (AFO) leads to implementation 3D Printing technology into manufacturing process, due its fast production, good design optimization, and cost-effectiveness. Now, several research works were made implement natural composite as Printer filament increase sustainability material, well reduce AFO's weight raw material cost. However, since this AFO will be used a daily basis, it is significant understand weight, fatigue impact strength they affect user's safety. aim paper investigate density, printed kenaf/PLA for possible usability AFO. filler within was varied at 3, 5 7 wt. % extruded obtain filament, which with printer print out specimens impact, test. As amount fillers increased, density resistance decreases while life increases. In conclusion, results found in tests show positive perspective towards

Acoustic properties of 3D printed bio-degradable micro-perforated panels made of Corkwood Fiber-Reinforced composites

Introduction: Micro perforated panel (MPP) absorbents promise the next generation of sound absorbers as they have significant advantages over other porous adsorbents. In this study, we will investigate the acoustic performance of MPP absorbents made of biodegradable polylactic acid composite reinforced with natural corkwood fibers (PLA/Corkwood) by 3D printing technology. Material and Methods:...

MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF DENTAL COMPOSITE MATERIALS REINFORCED WITH MICRO AND NANO-SIZE Al2O3 FILLER PARTICLES

Abstract: Composite specimens were prepared by dispersion of various amounts of nano-sized Al2O3 fillers in a monomer system containing 60% Bis-GMA and 40% TEGDMA. For comparative purposes, composite samples containing micrometer size Al2O3 fillers were also prepared following the same procedure. The mechanical properties of the light- cured samples were assessed by three-point flexural strengt...

Preparation and properties of composite films from modified cellulose fibre-reinforced with PLA

Now a day there is an emerging interest in replacing non-renewable additives with biodegradable compounds. Cellulose plays very important role in this modification. Their low cost and low density associated with high specific mechanical properties represent a good renewable and biodegradable alternative to the most commonly used synthetic reinforcement. The cellulose was modified by using 2-(Tr...
